Community Meeting Webinar
Topic: HOMELESSNESS: TODAY’S STATUS AND BEYOND
Monday, APRIL 24th, 2023 7:00 PM -8:15 PM | REPLAY
Featured Speaker: Councilwoman Traci Park
We invite you to hear Councilwoman Traci Park discuss homelessness in our Council District 11. Traci was a municipal attorney for 20 years before she assumed office with the Los Angeles City Council on December 12, 2022. Her vision is to work to implement urgent and compassionate solutions that move people off the streets and into safe settings. She has pledged to keep CD 11 safe, so families can safely visit local parks, beaches and libraries. She supports data driven practices linked to measurable and successful outcomes. We will discuss topics such as Mayor Bass’ plans for addressing homelessness and how Traci and Mayor Bass are working together, Traci’s approach to neighborhood issues such as the Venice Bridge Home and Westchester Park, and ideas for involving communities in making available new housing opportunities.
Submit your questions for Councilwoman Park when you register or during the webinar. Your questions enrich our discussion and learning.
The Task Force has hosted bimonthly forums to connect with the Palisades community. At each meeting, we answer questions, solicit ideas, provide progress updates, and convene experts to address the pressing issues related to homelessness. These meetings are discussion opportunities – not lectures – and we appreciate every contribution. The ideas debated here ultimately turn into concrete solutions, whether it’s a Panhandling Policy or partnerships with local agencies.
Our efforts are only as strong as the community that supports them, so we encourage all to attend, whether they’re new to the issue or have engaged with it for years.
When you register for the meeting, help us by submitting questions and comments in advance. Let us know what you want to know! firstname.lastname@example.org
Attending our community meetings is encouraged and needed. It is a way to be involved, provide support to the growing PPTFH community-wide program and help address homelessness in the Palisades. Come and participate!
