Outreach Report

The Task Force measures its progress by the number of homeless individuals helped through its efforts. Since the beginning of 2016, 243 of the individuals the Task Force has engaged are now off of the streets in Permanent Supportive or other appropriate long-term housing.

(Despite the devastating impact of the January 5-8, 2025 Palisades fire the Task Force’s Outreach Team from The People Concern continued their services to Palisades homeless individuals who had relocated to the boarder of Santa Monica. During the first six months after the fire (January to June 2025) the Outreach Team moved 17 of these individuals into Permanent Supportive or Interim housing. The Team made 172 follow up visits with the 17 individuals to help them remain housed. Additionally, the Team worked with 95 individuals who remained in or newly entered the Palisades area.)
